Poplar Company History

Poplar Carpets was established in 1974 at a shop in Redditch. We are a family run business with an extensive team of friendly and skilled staff. 

We are the Day family, and we had the vision to create a business that could offer high-quality flooring with a service to match. 

Our dedication to maintaining affordable flooring without compromising on the standard set us above the competition and supported our company’s expansion over the years.

In 2020, co-founder Stephen Day Senior handed over the reins to his two sons, who now run the business in partnership. 

With over 100 full-time employees and 150 subcontractors, the team comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience that is unrivaled.

By 2025, we hope to have opened a Poplar shop in most towns in the Midlands!
